Conveyancing and real estate work has been the mainstay of the firm since 1972.
The practice
The practice acts in the sale, purchase, mortgage and leasing of residential, industrial and commercial property. It acts for individual clients, banks and finance companies.
The practice has acted in numerous housing development projects, often from the acquisition of the land through financing and development documentation, addressing issues arising in the course of construction, to the sale of units in the completed development.
The firm has acted for property developers including City Developments Limited, Hong Leong Holdings Limited, TID Pte. Ltd., Tripartite Developers Pte. Limited and Hong Realty (Private) Limited, in addition to acting for individual clients, banks and finance companies.
Ms Selina Chin was part of a team that made representations to the Select Committee on the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Bill before it was passed in 2004. She has been a tutor for the Real Estate Practice module of the SILE's Preparatory Course for Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations and is a member of the Law Society's Conveyancing Practice Committee. She is also a member of the Law Society's Anti-Money Laundering Committee.
Mr Foo See Juan was admitted in January 1967 and set up the firm in 1972. He was a non-executive director of City Developments Limited from 1986 to 2015.
