The firm
Foo & Quek was set up in 1972 as a partnership between Mr Foo See Juan and the late Ms Quek Bee Heong, and was one of the early law firms in Singapore to focus on real estate work. On 1 April 2015 the firm was converted into a law corporation, Foo & Quek LLC.
The firm has established a niche in property development and real estate transactions, and today provides a comprehensive suite of legal services through its Real Estate & Conveyancing, Dispute Resolution and Business Law Services practices.
In 2017 the firm acquired a corporate and commercial, litigation and dispute resolution team led by Mr Ng Lip Chih.
Foo & Quek LLC is affiliated with NLC Law Asia LLC, a law firm specialising in dispute resolution and business law services.
Chronology
Three directors, admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1967, 1984 and 1996.
1967
- Foo See Juan admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, 18 January 1967.
1972
- Foo & Quek set up as a partnership between Mr Foo See Juan and the late Ms Quek Bee Heong.
1984
- Selina Chin called to the Singapore Bar, 15 February 1984.
1996
- Ng Lip Chih admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor, 27 July 1996.
2015
- The firm converted into a law corporation, Foo & Quek LLC, on 1 April 2015.
2017
- The dispute resolution and business law team led by Mr Ng Lip Chih joined the firm.
Mr Foo was admitted five years before the firm was set up.
The firm honours its founding co-partner, the late Ms Quek Bee Heong, whose sudden passing in 2016 was a deep loss, and the late Mr Lim Choon Hin, a partner of Foo & Quek who devoted more than 30 years of service to the practice.
Our staff
Most of the firm's staff have served the practice for around 20 to 35 years. Their support and commitment is key to the stability and strength of the firm.
