The team is instructed by MNCs, local and foreign corporations, established domestic SMEs, family-run enterprises and individuals.
The practice
In 2017 the firm acquired a corporate and commercial, litigation and dispute resolution team led by Mr Ng Lip Chih.
The team acts in contentious matters including arbitration, banking and financial disputes, building and construction disputes, directors' duties claims, commercial and contractual disputes, contentious probate, criminal defence, defamation, employment disputes, family and matrimonial matters, insolvency, landlord and tenant disputes, MCST disputes, personal injury claims, professional negligence and shareholder disputes. The team also acts in mediation.

- Acted in an appeal to the Court of Appeal concerning a bank's conduct in a mortgage transaction, reported in The Straits Times.
- Acted in a High Court arbitration matter in which the court stayed court proceedings pending the outcome of a related arbitration.
- Acted for a steel mill plant owner in an arbitration in the Philippines in which the amount claimed was S$1 billion.
- Acted for an SGX-listed company in an application for court sanction of a scheme of arrangement with the company's creditors.
- Acted for MNCs in claims against directors for breach of fiduciary duties.
- Acted for directors in an application for the judicial management of a company.
- Acted for liquidators in the liquidation and voluntary winding up of companies.
- Acted and advised in contentious estate matters.
