Background
Mr Ng Lip Chih completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science. On his admission in 1996, he joined a large Singapore law firm, and was made a Partner after five years. In 2004, Mr Ng was seconded to SGX to act as its Head of Enforcement.
After ten years at the firm he joined on admission, Mr Ng left and founded Ng Lip Chih & Co. In 2009, Mr Ng founded NLC Law Asia LLP and was appointed to act as its Managing Partner. In 2014, Mr Ng founded NLC Law Asia LLC and served as its Managing Director. In April 2017, Mr Ng joined Foo & Quek LLC as a Director.
Mr Ng acts in litigation, arbitration, criminal and corporate matters. His clientele includes international clients from Japan, China, Indonesia, the Netherlands and the United States.
Appointments
Mr Ng was appointed by the Singapore Minister for Law to act as a Statutory Member of the Council of the Law Society of Singapore under section 48(1)(b) of the Legal Profession Act 1966, and served from January 2017 to December 2022.
He was a member of the Disciplinary Panel under the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS), for the term of 1 July 2021 to 31 March 2023.
He was appointed an Adjudicator with The Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre Ltd (FIDReC) with effect from 1 January 2022. FIDReC is an alternative dispute resolution institution specialising in the resolution of financial disputes.
He was a committee member of the Professional Development and Practice Chapter, Singapore Academy of Law. He has also served as a member of the Audit Committee of the Tanglin Club and as a council member of a management corporation for a condominium development in Singapore.
He is a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths, gazetted with effect from 1 October 2025.

- Acted in mergers and acquisitions of companies, in the due diligence exercise for the acquisition of a logistics and transport company in Foshan, and for the vendor in the sale of a logistics building in the value of S$15 million.
- Acted for Judicial Managers in the judicial management of companies and for Liquidators in the liquidation of companies, and advised in family estate and trust matters.
- Advised major landlords in Singapore in the leasing of office, commercial and industrial properties, including lease negotiations for a converted office space in Singapore.
